Status of Students
The following shows the status of students and the corresponding selection methods by the Faculty of Human Development and the Graduate School of Human Development and Environment.
Degree-seeking Students (Regular students)
Status | Degrees | Selection Methods |

Undergraduate Students | Degrees (Human Development) are conferred on those who have completed the required curricula in the Faculty of Human Development. | |
Graduate Students | Master's Degrees (Arts, Education, or Science) are conferred on those who have completed the required curricula for the Master's programs in the Graduate School of Human Development and Environment. | |
Doctorate Degrees (Arts, Education, or Science) are conferred on those who have completed the required curricula for the Doctorate programs in the Graduate School of Human Development and Environment. |
Non-Degree-seeking Studens

Classification of Foreign Students
Foreign students are defined as students who stay in Japan for the purpose of studying at educational institutions in Japan and are qualified as foreign residents. Foreign students are categorized as the follows:
- Foreign Students Supported by Japanese Government (Japanese Government (the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) Scholarship Students)
- Foreign students who pursue their study and research at universities in Japan by the support of Japanese government
- Other Foreign Students (Foreign Students)
- Foreign students who pursue their study and research at universities in Japan at their own expenses or by the support of their own government
